PROJECTS

PASAJERO is a Spanish word with double meaning: it means passenger but also fleeting or ephemeral. This word explains the experience of a Spanish photographer in Tokyo: as passenger riding trains randomly, but also as beholder of the impermanence of daily life inspired by chance encounters with Japanese commuters.   ASHI While woman’s bodylanguage is generally restrained, displaying delicate and gentle manners, their legs and feet are otherwise extremely eloquent. Legs talk by twisting, flexing, swinging, bending, turning… They are a beautiful expression of female playfulness.

JIUTAMAI is an ancient form of classical Japanese dance with obscure origins. Performed in a soft, feminine way, it has a unique characteristic style of expressing internal emotion through a series of delicate, symbolic motions.   TOKYO UP, DOWN comprises a series of black&white photographic triptychs of images taken, inside and outside of elevators in Tokyo. From random high speed day trips in skyscrapers of Nishi-Shinjuku business district to the seedy rides in the late-night buildings of Kabukicho’s red light district. Both sides coexist in a relationship of interdependence.

OFF LIMITS showcases a serie of photographs taken during an arduous and illegal journey through remote areas of the golden triangle in Myanmar. Shot on location in the Wa army-controlled territory forbidden to foreigners (Special region 2 and 4) the photographer spent two weeks during April of 2003 in the mountains living with several hill tribes.
